One of my favourite features of The Lake House is its layout. There’s a beautiful lounge area near the bar for cocktail hour while the main room is flipped from ceremony to reception – your guests never have to leave the venue. The food is consistently incredible and the staff are warm and accommodating, making the whole day run smoothly.
Another thoughtful touch is the separate dance floor room. This means tables can stay in place and guests can keep chatting while others hit the dance floor – no squeezing or moving furniture required. As the evening goes on, the sunsets over the lake are breathtaking through the venue’s large windows, perfect for golden-hour portraits.

Shaun + Nina’s Wedding at the Lake House
For Shaun and Nina’s wedding, they hung soft white drapes from the ceiling- which, as a photographer, I loved! Not only did it add a touch of elegance, but it also gave me the perfect place to bounce my flash off in a venue that can otherwise be a little on the moodier and darker side.
